Raju Lama
PresidentRaju Lama is a seasoned organizational leader and distinguished social activist with nearly two decades of experience driving human rights advocacy in Nepal. Since beginning his activism in 2006, He has risen to become a central figure in the movement for equality, currently serving as the President of the Federation of Sexual and Gender Minorities Nepal (FSGMN).
Beyond his organizational leadership, He has played a critical role in national health governance. As a member of the Country Coordination Mechanism (CCM) Nepal, he has been instrumental in shaping national strategies for the Global Fund. His work focuses heavily on policy formulation for HIV programs, ensuring that health interventions are not only effective but also accessible to the LGBTIQA+ and minority communities.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science. Combining academic rigor with grassroots experience, he remains a steadfast champion for inclusive health interventions, community mobilization, and the protection of human rights for all marginalized groups in Nepal.
